Our story
The story behind starting SOLVI Adventures and focusing on multi-day adventures in Lofoten and northern Sweden.

My journey
Welcome to SOLVI Adventures! I am Sarah and I am so happy you are here! Building SOLVI Adventures was a long dream of mine! The dream is for it to be a place that brings together like minded women for multi-day adventures on Lofoten and Sweden. And in the future to develop to also offer courses, events and summer camps and so much more.
I grew up in a big city, far away from the joys of nature. In my 20s I discovered how much I thrive out there. The joy of feeling the elements and exploring the most spectacular things nature has to offer keeps me going. Life keeps being interesting when I challenge myself to keep learning new things.
The place I call home now is Lofoten in Norway – a group of islands out of the westcoast of Norway. A place that reminds me of my own adventures in Greenland and New Zealand. A place where you can experience winter, spring, summer and autumn in the same day and where life is constantly connected to nature.
The purpose behind SOLVI Adventures
Since my mid 20s, I have been on many of my own adventures exploring different places and the joy to do so never left me. Along the way, I discovered that many women would like to go out there and explore, but don’t know where to start or don’t have the adventure partners to do so. That’s what SOLVI Adventures is for! It is a place to ask questions, to learn and to become self-reliant and confident ot go out on your adventures. A place where everyone is welcome, no matter the experience level! Where we learn from eachother and push eachother and create a supporting community.
Experience & Qualifications
My experience to guide these outdoor adventures for women comes from a mix of my own trips and different courses, certifications and educations. I am a civil engineer by education and have worked in the construction industry for many years before pivoting to the outdoor industry. Through my jobs in the construction industry I got the opportunity to learn a lot about leadership and develop my own skills.
Some of my own adventures in the recent years include a scientific expedition in Greenland. We crossed the Greenland ice sheet with skis, tent and pulk over 32 days as a team of 5. You can check our instagram for some expedition impressions here.
Over the years I have done many winter camping trips in Greenland, Norway, Sweden and Svalbard. During summer I hiked in the backcountry far away from trails in Greenland, Sweden and Austria. Another big passion of mine is bikepacking, where I have been on various trips from 2 days to 4 months. I bike travelled through Georgia, Central Europe, Turkey, the Balkans, Marocco over mountain passes and hidden trails for weeks, sleeping in my tent, without civilization in sight for days. I also really enjoy ski touring and I am also starting to learn trad climbing.
Currently I am taking an education to become a Mountain Leader by Swedish standards (SFLO) and I am certified in Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA). I have had several educations in avalanche safety, the most recent in February 2026 over a 2-week period. Amongst others I have taken educational courses in Glacier terrain, Expedition Leadership and Arctic Survival and Safety.
